Here are some useful travel tips for traveling around Europe on the cheap.
- Book hostels two nights before arrival
- Good websites are hostelbookers and hostelworld
- Check train times for depature on arrival because it is much easier to view the train times at the station than online, as every country will have different websites.
- Avoid arriving into a new place at night – not only is it a little creepy but it becomes very difficult to find the hostel from train station.
- Always write down the directions to the hostel given on the website.
- Never be scared to ask for help – you be surprised how many people speak English and how willing most locals are.
- Check out couchsurfing, it may or may not be your type of thing but it is worth a try and a pretty cool way to meet people.
- Remember trains aren’t the only way to get around. Look at ferrys and buses for a change.
- Walking is a good way to see a city. We would always spend the first day in a city wondering around, not only is this a great way to get a feel for the place but you will also find yourself stumbling upon more scenic routes.
- Always buy public transport tickets because its not worth getting the fine.
- Don’t forget everyone is willing to make friends and have a good time!!
- Always carry your daypack around with you valuables including your AquaSafeCorp Product
